Description

This course, taught by knowledgeable staff, aims to enhance endoscopic practice and alter the learner’s perspective on a variety of GI tract illnesses. The course material will include the most recent data and algorithms to allow a quick but thorough assessment of GI problems, then timely commencement of the most suitable treatment aimed at enhancing patient care and results.

With the quickening pace of technological advancements, the body of information around gastrointestinal endoscopy continues to grow. Techniques that were formerly solely diagnostic are being challenged or replaced by developments in therapeutic endoscopy. In order to advance practice and improve patient outcomes, gastroenterologists must comprehend and skillfully utilize current and future diagnostic and therapeutic options while upholding standards of quality and safety.

This course will assist participants in developing an evidence-based approach to endoscopic decisionmaking for frequently encountered and contentious issues in gastroenterology. It will also improve participants’ abilities to precisely diagnose and effectively treat gastrointestinal diseases and disorders, improve quality and safety in practice settings, and recognize trends and technological advancements in interventional endoscopic and surgical procedures.

Learning Targets:

• Identify the most effective techniques for detecting and treating common diseases of the small intestine, colon, and pancreas as well as endobariatric therapy for obesity.

• Describe the range of frequently occurring esophageal and gastric problems, such as gastroesophageal reflux disease, Barrett’s esophagus, motility issues, and gastric intestinal metaplasia, and describe possible treatments and their efficacy.

· Examine the effectiveness and safety of current therapies for metabolic related fatty liver disease.

• Examine improvements in approaches for diagnosing inflammatory bowel illness in patients and talk about how to use these tools in patient care.

• Examine the diagnostic and therapeutic potentials as well as the risks of present and upcoming advanced endoscopic procedures to identify and treat conditions of the pancreas, luminal gastrointestinal tract, and hepatobiliary tract, as well as to identify and treat suspected small bowel bleeding.
