It was the unique vision of the heads of the Department of radiodiagnosis of the three premier institutes of the country, all India institutes of medical education (AIIMS), Maulana Azad medical college (mamc), new Delhi, and postgraduate Institute of medical education and research (PGIMER), Chandigarh that led to the popular aiims-mamc-pgi teaching course series in the year 1996. The aim was to have a uniform pattern of teaching in radiology all over the country. The aiims-mamc-pgi imaging course has established itself as one of the best in the country, imparting state-of-the-art medical education and has become immensely popular amongst students. A book compiling all the relevant topics written by the eminent faculty of these three premier institutes has formed an integral part of the courses. The present book is devoted to genitourinary imaging and has 27 chapters which have been thoroughly revised, improvised and reorganized.
