USCAP introduced its first seminar dedicated to diversity and inclusion at its 2020 Annual Meeting at the Los Angeles Convention Center on March 2, 2020. The intent was to present an initiative that would intuitively evolve into a core value that drives acceptance of the differences among people to reinforce the Academy’s belief in one world of pathology. Mahatma Gandhi said: Our ability to reach unity in diversity will be the beauty and the test of our civilization. Maya Angelou wrote: We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their colour.
