The International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS) is hosting the ILTS-iLDLT-LTSI 2023 Consensus Conference: Prediction and Management of Small for Size Syndrome in LDLT on January 27, 2023, at the ITC Grand Chola in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
We will talk about the following topics at this consensus conference:
• SFSS’s prevalence, descriptions, clinical contributing variables, and biomarkers.
• Donor and recipient characteristics that raise the risk of SFSS and strategies for enhancing these characteristics to lower its prevalence.
• Perioperative factors should be taken into account while treating a patient with SFSG
• Managing and treating SFSS that have already developed.
Understanding the gap in current practice by reading and summarizing available research on SFSS in LDLT is one of the learning objectives.
· Establish SFSS prediction models and criteria for patients receiving LDLT with an SFSG.
• Detection of patients with SFSG and prompt intervention to lower the risk of SFSS.
• Offer suggestions and instructions for the best multidisciplinary care of patients receiving established SFSS.
The attendees will be able to study and debate research on SFSS, including selection criteria/indications, prognostic models, surveillance tactics, innovative medicines, and management. The attendees will gain from a thorough explanation of the state of the art in portal hemodynamics and how it can be used to prevent and treat SFSS in LDLT. The attendees will receive knowledge about new developments that help LDLT advance.
