Mesenteric and Porto-Hepatic Duplex Sonography
Mesenteric and Porto-Hepatic Duplex Sonography Training Video’s focus is on the duplex ultrasound evaluation of the principle mesenteric vessels. One focus is on the associated symptom complex and the role of the celiac and superior mesenteric arteries in chronic mesenteric ischemia. A second focus is on porto-hepatic venous system and the hemodynamic responses to portal hypertension.
Video Length:Â 1:18:00
OBJECTIVES
- Evaluate the mesenteric arterial circulation for clinically significant chronic ischemia.
- Perform a standard protocol to document hemodynamic changes associated with portal hypertension.
- Evaluate the hepatic veins and inferior vena cava.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Sonographers, physicians and other medical professionals involved with performing and/or interpreting vascular ultrasound examinations. Physician participants may include vascular/general surgery, radiologists, internal medicine, and GI specialists.
