About This CME Teaching Activity
Sports related injuries require timely diagnosis and appropriate management for a quick recovery in all athletes; novice to professional. This program is structured to provide a detailed review of imaging specific injuries. Faculty has been chosen to provide a well-rounded review of sports medicine imaging and treatment options.
Target Audience
This teaching activity is designed to educate radiologists, orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, and referring physicians who order musculoskeletal MRI studies.
Educational Objectives

- Optimize image sequences and protocols for a variety of sports related injury.
- Assess patients with joint pathology in a non-invasive manner utilizing MRI.
- Recognize the strengths and limitations of MRI for the management of sports related injuries.
- Describe the MR appearance of common sports related injury and differentiate the findings from image artifact.
